Ed Dix makes his Nein debut with this killer up of dark cuts for late-night dance floors with three originals and three remixes from Mexicos Lusca, Tel Aviv’s NOY and Spain’s mastering maestro K-effect.

After his acidic disco banger “Hybriduntz” on last year’s compilation “Various Worldwide”, released on Belly Dance Services,  Ed Dix returns with an excellent EP under Nein Records which brings three beautiful originals and three solid remixes provided by K-Effect, Lusca and N.O.Y & Sandhog.

Cha Cha is the first track written by him in this project as the most club-ready offered in the release.  Blending in his inspiration from a classic Malay movie called Matinya Seorang Patriot (1984) into an extended dark disco tune, looping cowbell with psychedelic infused synth, focusing percussive elements and touch of obscure FXs. The track also comes with an alternate, more dark & thrilling version by Esthetique records boss, K- Effect from Spain who is also the sound engineer for this EP. Another remix from Tel Aviv’s NOY & Sandhog shine through on this psychedelic & fun remix ready for any dance floor.

Together in this EP is ‘Hero Malam’ that rightly brings into a dark & terror town that takes the listener on a metallic funk with a pounding bottom end. The remix for the track comes from Lusca, Mexican producer who picks up the pace for an uplifting, hypnotic bass line & dystopian stomper with delayed SFX.

Last but not least, an uplifting track; Ominous which utilises a wealth of traditional instrument, ‘Kompang’ with EBM infused. The track develops into weird & trippy violin sounds with thriller melody ringing out over an extremely solid bass line that will fit straight into your peak-time selection of House & Techno.
